Guitar tabs or guitar tablatures are of utmost importance to those who play guitar. Guitar tabs are one of the important components for learning new tunes. Usually the guitar tabs come with the lyrics of the song for which the guitar tab is played, and sometimes the interlude or prelude lead part of the music is given through these guitar tabs.
Depending on the nature of the guitar, i.e. a rhythm guitar, a classical guitar, a bass guitar, a twelve string guitar and so on, the guitar tabs vary as these guitars and their arrangements and frets vary in shape, size and purpose. However, a guitar tab is a system of notations, letters, symbols and other visual representations - instead of the traditional musical notation.
The sole purpose of a guitar tab is to give the direction to the player as to how to play a musical piece through a diagram of strings of the guitar. Guitar tabs or a tablature nonetheless consists of a diagram of strings of the guitar with finger positions indicated by numbers corresponding to the appropriate frets and sometimes with the numerical representations of the fingers.
Free guitar tabs are very important for those who are young enthusiasts and are keen on learning the new tunes and technicalities of guitar and especially those songs which have extensive guitar uses, both plucking and other types of fingering as well as lead parts. The Web is the biggest resource for gathering these free guitar tablatures and is much conducive than those costly books at the nearby music stations and book stalls. Free guitar tablatures are those available on the Internet that give oneself the freedom to explore and choose the song or the music he wants the guitar tablatures for. Guitar Lessons
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Russ_Hutto]Russ Hutto
Trying to find the right guitar lesson experience? In this world with all kinds of styles of music and bands, finding someone to teach you what you really dream of playing is kind of tough. One person may be more into jazz, one more into rock, one more into blues. It all depends on the individual.
Have you ever had a guitar lesson that just seemed to never end. Your teacher kept going on and on about stuff you never really wanted to learn anyways? A good guitar lesson should be about teaching you to develop what you are passionate about. If you’re not passionate about classical guitar styles, then why learn them?
Don’t get me wrong a good guitarist is well-versed. This means they can play a variety of styles. But let’s be real. The majority of us just want to just pick up a guitar and PLAY! We don’t want guitar lesson after guitar lesson of boring theory and stuff that doesn’t really help us PLAY!
Anyways, finding the right guitar lesson should be more about finding what YOU like. If you want to play rock music, find a rock guitarist to teach you. If you want to play jazz, find a jazz guitarist. If you want to play classical guitar, then get you some classical lessons.
Guitar is one of the easiest and best instruments to get started on. It’s a matter of learning a few chords and going from there. The problem is finding a teacher who’ll give you a good guitar lesson that doesn’t include all the stuff that really doesn’t matter when it comes down to just playing a song.
It may be hard to find free guitar lessons. Most teachers won’t offer free guitar lessons. If you can find one that’s great. I recommend finding an online alternative if you’re just itching to get started.
I’ve seen some good online sites come and go. If you can find a good online guitar lesson site that is inexpensive you’re doing well! Why? Because you can learn at your own pace and learn what you want to learn.
Information about these sites can be found at any search engine and most offer nice programs. Some are even membership based. My suggestion is to decide what it is exactly that you want to accomplish with your playing and then choose the program that’s good for you.
Many of these sites offer comprehensive chord lessons and finger-picking technique courses that will enhance your skills as you progress. They also offer chord sheets and finger placement charts as well. You should be able to download a small application or set of pdfs/docs that include all this info, if the site is set up well.

Guitar Lesson On DVD - 3 Ways You Benefit From Learning Guitar At Home While Saving Money
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ian_Henman]Ian Henman
I'll admit, I used to think that there was no better way to learn to play guitar then by taking private lessons. I figured how could anyone learn to play from a guitar lesson on dvd as well as from an instructor in the same room. That was until I bought my first guitar lessons on DVD and discovered that there are big advantages and big savings to be had.
1.) Money: The first benefit you get from learning to play from a guitar lesson on DVD is you save money. How do you save money? Let's assume you pay $10 per half hour lesson, and you take lessons 50 weeks a year (everyone gets 2 weeks vacation right?). That means you spend $500 a year on private lessons.
Trust me when I say you wouldn't spend half of that buying a guitar lessons DVD, and you'd still get at least a years worth of guitar lessons.
2.) Speed: This benefit isn't going to effect everyone but it did me. I found that when taking private lessons I lost interest, I wasn't learning as quickly as I wanted, and because of this was stopping my practice.
As soon as I bought my first guitar lesson on DVD I found I could process more lessons in a week, and in turn I practiced eve more. I was learning at a greater speed then I ever would have in private lessons, unless I stepped up to more then one lesson a week.
3.) Quality: While some people argue that because you don't have someone in front of you to show you how to play guitar you won't get the same quality of instruction. I have to disagree. After being on both sides of the fence, I always found that my private instructors wasted time, or went off on tangents during a lesson when they didn't need to.
In contrast, a guitar lesson on DVD has been pre-recorded. It is what it is, and the instructor isn't going to get off track, they aren't going to start talking about what they did last weekend. It's all about the lesson. In my opinion this gives a guitar lesson on DVD a better quality then a private lesson.

Learn The Guitar Online - 3 Reasons It's Better Then Private Lessons
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ian_Henman]Ian Henman
There is a stigma attached to learning the guitar online that you cannot get the same quality of education from a website or video as you can from private lessons. While this might be true in some circumstances, I believe that there are obvious benefits to those that choose to learn the guitar online and it goes deeper then just the quality of guitar lessons taught.
1.) When you take private guitar lessons you normally purchase lessons in a set (i.e. 6 or 8 weeks of lessons for a set price) or pay per lesson. Which ever way you look at it you end up paying between $10 and $20 per lesson. Should you need a refersher on something you've already learned your teacher must take part of that $20 lesson and reteach you something he/she has already done before. There by reducing the value of the current lesson.
When you learn the guitar online the lessons are videos and files. They can be reviewed and rewatched at no extra charge to you as often and when ever you want.
2.) I know I've take private guitar lessons before, and I didn't always have the time to practice. Sometimes work, family or friends had to come before I could sit down with my guitar for a half hour each day. The result? I wasn't always prepared for the next weeks lesson when I showed up, yet I still had to pay for the time. I didn't get the most value from that guitar lesson had I practiced the week before.
When enrolled in online guitar lessons there is no teacher checking there watch to make sure you're on time or that you've done your home work. If you don't have the time to practice for a few days, just take a break from you lessons. There isn't any lost cost or time to you. you are in charge of when and how fast your learn the guitar online.
3.) Cost has to be considered, especially since everything is getting more expensive around us. Let's take the example above of $10 per lesson, and assume four lessons of a half hour each per month. That means you pay $40 per month for 2 hours of lesson time. In contrast most online guitar lesson memberships charge under $30 for unlimited access to thousands of minutes of lessons. The value for your dollar is much greater when you learn to play the guitar online.
