Everyone has it don’t they? That urge to play the guitar, I know I do.
I’ll admit I am a complete beginner, so I need a method that will take me from the very beginning, right through to a decent level of competence.
I don’t have any great ambitions to play in a band or anything, but I am always envious when at a party or a family gathering someone takes out a guitar and starts strumming along, and everyone and I mean everyone stops whatever they are doing to look at the ‘guitar player’. Well I want that ‘guitar player’ to be me!
So where do I begin?
Well no doubt there are plenty of people that each guitar where I live, but this can be time consuming and costly, I would have to phone around to find out how much each lesson would cost, then if I was happy with the cost I would no doubt be tied to a regular time, which may not always be convenient, I mean do I want guitar lessons to control my life or do I just want to learn to play guitar?
I think maybe the best solution is to buy a software package, I fell this will allow me to progress at a pace which is suitable for me will enable me to easily revise anything which I do not understand, which at this point in time will be a lot!
I think what I need is a package that is designed it to be the most complete and easy to follow guitar learning system available. I need it be full of easy-to-follow information. I think I will need step by step video instructions that will show me the secrets of how to play the guitar in great detail.
If you are interested in following my quest to play the guitar, I have set up a [http://www.barrylearnsguitar.blogspot.com/ ]blog here to record my progress.

Learn and Master Guitar Review
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Rich_Matthews]Rich Matthews
When it comes to learning to play guitar, there are so many options available. It is very clear that the most convenient way to learn guitar is through a program rather than a tutor. While a tutor is great, sometime it is hard to fit it into the schedule. When it comes to guitar lesson programs, Learn and Master Guitar by Steve Krenz stands out above the rest.
Learn and Master Guitar has many reasons that make it stand out in the guitar lesson world. One of these reasons is the amount of professionalism put into the lessons. From the moment you get the package in the mail, you will be able to tell that this is no half hearted effort. You will get a book with the lessons printed in it as well as the lessons on DVD. A few CDs are also included with songs that you will learn to play along with. Having the lessons both in print and on video really helps a lot. You can read the information and check out the diagrams as well as watch the videos and see exactly how to do it.
Now we can move onto the negative aspects of Learn and Master Guitar. One of the first things that may make potential users weary is that this excellent quality comes with a bit of a price. It is nothing compared to what you will pay a professional tutor but can be a little shocking at first. As far as the product goes, the only true negative aspect is that Learn and Master Guitar is lacking online features. Having more information online is a great way to stay updated and stay in touch and would truly add a lot to this great program.
What Learn and Master Guitar comes down to is absolutely the best option available for you to learn to play guitar. This is definitely the best option available for the busy person that wants to learn how to play guitar at your own pace and on your own schedule. Learn and Master Guitar has been on top for quite a while now, and I do not see it getting knocked down anytime soon.

The Online Guitar Lesson Guide - 3 Easy Steps On How To Learn Guitar Online
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=David_Frisk]David Frisk
Looking For Guitar Lessons Online?
Do you still get guitar lessons from the local guitar teacher? As we all know, one-on-one personal guitar lessons can be very expensive, especially if you are a beginner. But now, you can get guitar lessons online, using certain services to learn all of your guitar needs quickly and easily.
However
The Internet is full of scams, if you're not sure where to look it can be hard work to find a relative service to use. When using search engines, you will find that there are millions of results. How many of them are actually trustworthy legitimate online guitar lesson sites? Where should you look? Follow a few simple rules though and I guarantee you will be able to find a great service to learn the guitar online from for life.
Firstly
You should avoid getting lessons from video sharing sites. Although it's tempting to get online guitar lessons from these sites, a lot of the time the lessons posted on these sites are riddled with bad techniques and advice. It's very hard to find a decent and legitimate lesson and not only that, it can be complicated to find the ideal lessons for your level of guitar playing. For the price of a second hand guitar, you can join a service that has tonnes of quality online guitar lesson advice that you can use for life.
Insurance
When paying to join a service, there are a few things you should keep in mind to assure that your not being scammed. Mainly, check the service has a decent money back guarantee; the better sites I've used have a 60 day money back guarantee. Check that you can pay securely; for example though Pay pal or Click bank. You should also check that the site has some sort of customer service section, if you have problems with the service at all, you'll be pulling your hair out if this is not included
Finally
I would choose a site that caters for all levels of guitar playing, not just beginner. The best services have all kinds of music software on offer, like tuning software, for download at no extra cost. There are so many great opportunity for learning the guitar online, so if you choose a good service, you will be able to learn quickly and instantly.
See what new digital software packages i would recommend and enjoy the convenience of [http://www.squidoo.com/beginner-guitar-in-a-nutshell]online guitar lessons.
Learn to play the guitar at your own pace.. Electric or Acoustic; my friends, [http://www.squidoo.com/beginner-guitar-in-a-nutshell]the fretboard is at your finger tips!

Why You Should Learn To Play Guitar Online
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Roger_Kent]Roger Kent
Thinking about an online guitar course? If you have always wanted to try learning guitar, but never had the cash to pay $30 bucks an hour for private lessons, you might find this information useful.
So you have want to buckle down and start learning guitar? Keep in mind that even the most famous, renowned guitarist had to start somewhere. So what's the best way to go about learning guitar? Some people pick up a guitar and teach themselves. Others pay $30 or more per hour to learn in person. However, with more and more people learning how to do things on the computer, ranging from building 20 different kinds of cabins, to making a home-made helicopter out of a lawnmower engine, there is no reason why you can't find a good course to learn guitar on the internet. I will hopefully be able to assist you in finding the best online guitar learning course.
Here are a few reasons of why you might want to consider an online guitar learning course.
1 - Price:
Many online guitar courses cost as little as $20.00 to as much as $100.00. With private lessons, you will pay that in as little as 1 or 2 hours, which is hardly enough time to get you started, plus you will need to make a commitment and keep going every week to continue your training. With online courses, you pay only one time and can access the lessons at your leisure. With the courses that include video, you can download your video lesson and play whenever you want. This is alot more convenient that packing up the guitar and making the trek to your lesson, or cleaning your place and making an appointment for you instructor to come over for your lesson.
2 - Features:
Mostly all online guitar courses include illustrated lessons, audio, and video lessons, and you will have access to them forever. If you forget something you are learning or just want to review, you can always go back to your learning material. For example, the site I will mention later includes over 280 lessons plus over 50 video lessons.
3 - Convenience:
As mentioned in the first tip, you can access your computer-based lessons from anywhere, anytime. You won't have to spend an hour each week in traffic just driving to and from guitar lessons. You don't have to completely reorganize your busy lifestyle to accommodate your guitar teacher. This in itself is worth learning how to play guitar on the computer.
4 - Fun!
Computer based guitar lessons can be a lot more fun than private lessons. Online guitar lessons make the whole learning process more interactive, interesting and enjoyable. Most software packages include learning games, video, and audio jam tracks (or backing tracks). This keeps you, the student more involved, and therefore more motivated. Not to mention that you won't be worried about embarrassing yourself in front of a pro guitar teacher which will only help you learn faster!
Obviously, learning to play the guitar on the computer isn't for everyone. Some people definitely would appreciate the benefit of having an in-person teacher helping them out, especially in the early stages. However, I have found the course that is EXTREMELY easy on the wallet, that everyone with a guitar should look into getting.
I mentioned an online course a few times in this article. You can find out more information about [http://www.learnguitaronvideo.com]this course here.
